Then you get a sunset to match. Add an awesome couple and you have one beautiful engagement session.

Nora was a gymnast. James, not so much. But they have team spirit!

Over time (and lots of laughs) it became clear how much they cared for each other and ultimately fell head over heels for one another. Yasmin loves John’s charming and easy to talk to personality. His sense of humor often has her laughing until tears stream down her face. Yasmin loves the easiness that she feels around him and how he makes her feel like she is fantastic just the way she is.  John finds Yasmin’s energy and spirit the be magnetic. He loves that he can be walking down the street by himself, simply think of her or something that she did or said and literally laugh aloud or grin ear-to-ear. John says “I probably look crazy when I’m giggling to myself thinking about her. I don’t have any issue being perceived as insane though, because I am definitely the luckiest man on the planet.” Yasmin is an excellent friend, almost to a fault. She has no issue giving, giving, and giving some more to help others. In her view what she gets in return is inconsequential.

     Yasmin and John went to Puerto Rico in May 2010 for a week’s vacation. They were there for a few days and planned to make a day trip to a small island off the east coast of Puerto Rico called Culebra later in the week. That day rolled around and they drove to the far coast and then hopped on a puddle jumper to fly to Culebra. They landed and immediately went to the beach. It was pristine, private, picturesque and in short, perfect. Around lunch time John asked Yasmin if she wanted to go for a walk on the beach. During that stroll is when he professed his love to her and told her how much she meant to him. Finally, getting down on one knee, John pulled the ring out of his pocket and asked her to marry him.

     Yasmin and John wanted their engagement session in their neighborhood on the upper west side of Manhattan. They often take evening or weekend strolls through Central Park on the Upper West Side to enjoy the fresh air, stopping for a kiss at a number of street corners. Their love grew in this neighborhood and it definitely is a special place for both of them. When not in the city they are constantly discussing their next vacation and have a shared love of traveling. Together they’ve been to Mexico, Switzerland, China and Napa Valley. A sunset in the Swiss Alps was possibly the most memorable of their journeys.
